About

Caroline Bond completed her BA in Art and Design Education in the National College of Art and Design in 1982. Her love and commitment to education brought her to work in Pobalscoil Neasáin, Baldoyle, where she has taught Art, Craft and Design Education for the past 32 years.

Through teaching Caroline has had the opportunity to explore, experiment and develop experience and skills in many diverse media. Several media became important to her personal visual expression: Iconography, Ceramics, Printmaking, and Painting. Returning to Continuing Education in NCAD, Caroline became increasingly fascinated with working in wax and casting in Bronze through the Lost Wax process. She studied under Vivian Hansbury for 5 years.

Caroline’s new series of cast bronze sculptures are called  “War Horses”, the horses echo the emotional  position of the many people who find themselves caught up in the line of fire between conflict and war.
